Happy Birthday to Jack

The weekend at last….I survived….you survived! Cheers to that.

It was the last week of school around these parts and quite frankly I didn’t think I was going to make it. Between all the end of year folly, pre-k graduation, a baseball tournament, planning our neighborhood “camp out in the park” event tonight and my son’s birthday today…..its been pure insanity around here.

All good problems to have.

But nevertheless you signed up for design and inspiration and I apologize for my lack of blogging this week as I’ve been doing a lot of living. I’ll be back soon with some super stellar subjects I think you will downright dig and a sneak peek at our summer plans and some project updates.

Right now I’m going to go wake up my EIGHT year old (can you hear me crying?) and let him eat brownies for breakfast, per his request, and think about the day he was born. He absolutely suuuucked coming out but man did he sure make up for it once he arrived. Nothing but a DREAM and just the thought of his sweet old soul makes me catch my breath. I find myself staring at him and thinking I can’t believe that’s my boy. How did I get so lucky?

I wish you could have witnessed him on the mound this week in baseball. Sort of reminds me of this guy we all grew up with and loved…

Tanner from the Bad News Bears…

Happy Birthday son! You’re perfect and amazing to me in every way.
Love, Mom xoxo
