Happy Anniversary to Vreeland Road!

Where oh where has the time gone?! A year ago today, my hand shaking just a bit,  I hit “publish post” and never looked back.

The response was amazing and more than I could have ever imagined. You all were so sweet and forthcoming with your kind words. I thank God everyday for this blogging gig and for having the tenacity to say “I can so do this!”

It was a total leap of faith and I’m so happy I jumped!

I’d finally realized a dream I’d been carrying around in my heart and mind for years. So if you are unsure about putting yourself out there…GO FOR IT! Time is a-wasting!

Writing this blog has been such a gift in every sense of the word. I’ve met so many wonderful and generous people, I can barely stand it. So many doors have opened for me and its only been 12 months. Imagine the possibilities…

I’ll never forget the day a sweet lady stopped me in the grocery store and said “please don’t quit writing your blog anytime soon, it is FANTASTIC.” Talk about making someone’s day! It was one of those moments where you turn to look behind you both ways and think, holy sht, she’s talking to me. I sure was glad I went to Kroger that day. I thanked her profusely but words can never quite convey how much it means to me that someone, anyone gets JOY from what I write. Totally gets me high.

When I first started blogging, people would ask, “so what’s the goal of having a blog…is it to get advertisers and make money?”

Not even close.

The goal for me and always will be is to shine some LIGHT. Life can be so hard. We need folks to lift us up when things get dark and somehow, someway make the ride easier.  Whether it’s helping them beautify their interiors, their closet, their spirit, their life, this blog is about celebrating the good at every turn. Candidly, I get a bit frantic if I think for a second I am a burden or annoying to my family and friends. That would really suck. So I always try to stay positive for them, for me. It gets me through the hard times and when all that positive energy equates to a beautiful reality, its such a TRIP. Kinda like right now. xo

So I just want to take this moment, pinch myself, and thank you for your AMAZING support of my blog and my work. Life is beautiful and I’m so happy to be sharing it with all of you. I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Here’s to dreaming and enjoying the ride!
