Hello loves! I’m excited to be sharing the professional photographs I had taken by the very lovely and talented Jennifer Kesler Photography.
I like to think of our home as a collected mix of high and low pieces, a splurge here, with a great flea market find there. A labor of love/launching pad/design lab where I experiment with new ideas, new visions to share with my clients and readers. Jennifer has done a beautiful job of making that all come to life here. I hope you enjoy!
I adore styling bookshelves and this one is no exception. I could tell you a story about every single item here and where and when I found it over the years. The look is collected and carefully curated, the goal for every design project I embark on.
Here is an Instagram I took of all four shelves when I felt like I had FINALLY arrived at the perfect stopping point. The three Italian prints I found for TEN bucks and they camoflauge my stacks of Veranda magazines. They and the crusty books ground the space and then you work in all of your favorite trinkets, like Mom’s pocketwatch necklace. Love seeing it displayed here daily.
Here’s a shot from the outside and where my critical design self starts chirping in…”you know a small martini table would have looked great in front of the chair, softening that corner and WHOA that door needs a new ebony stain stat.” Oh well. I will say I love how the gold garden stool brings out the gold print in the pillows beyond. You were a good addition. 😉
A favorite little niche I recently put together. The pedestal was a cast off from a neighbor’s yard sale, the bust from Zgallerie, ghost chair from Lexington Modern and the flokati pillow from Amazon. I dig the mix of all these different surfaces, height and scale together. The herbariums are part of a group of seventeen I purchased years and years ago at Lakewood flea market. So happy I pulled the trigger.
I hope you have a VERY SWEET AND SPECIAL THANKSGIVING! I am very thankful for you, your support and your kind words. It makes my every day feel like turkey day.
Take care and God bless!
A very grateful Jenny from the rock
